INTRODUCTION

This reading guide is designed to accompany Isabel Quintero and Zeke Peña’s picture book My Papi Has a Motorcycle. Reading Is Resistance sees reading as an opportunity to seed deeper conversations and possibilities for action around racial justice in our communities.

In this book, Daisy takes a ride on her Papi’s motorcycle around their vibrant, diverse neighborhood. No matter what changes happen in her neighborhood, Daisy knows her beautiful neighborhood and people will always be a part of her.
